Caryn Fields takes the value of tikkun olam (repairing the world) seriously -- and the "world" part literally. She has traveled to Thailand as a Fulbright Scholar to teach children English and wrote a peace education program in Sierra Leone that's still being used. She credits her inspiration to her grandfather, who led by example through taking leadership roles at his synagogue and volunteering for Maot Chitim, which Caryn still does today.

Caryn also serves on the Board of Directors for the Jewish Council for Youth Services. She volunteers with BBYO and Literature for All of Us and traveled to Houston to help repair hurricane-damaged homes through JUF's TOV Volunteer Network. She supports her alma mater, Colgate University, through fundraising and mentorship.

Although her volunteerism may seem like enough for a full-time job, Caryn works as a financial advisor for J.P. Morgan Securities.

When not with clients or in the office, you can find me at Jewish Council for Youth Services, on the golf course, hitting the slopes, running by the lake, making a mess in the kitchen, creating chaos with my niece and nephew, exploring the world or just curled up on the couch reading a good book.

HOW YOU JEW IN CHICAGO:
I drink my share of Manischewitz … does that count?  I am involved in various Jewish non-profits (and even worked at JUF), attend Shabbat dinners and holiday celebrations, just finished the inaugural Kellogg Board Member Institute for Jewish Non-profits and more, but I honestly believe it is the Jewish morals and values that have been ingrained in me from the day I was born, that is “how I Jew.”
