Working at the Public Guardian has always been a dream job for Carrie. As an Attorney at the Cook County Public Guardian, Carrie represents youth in the child protection system. With her selfless nature and passion for helping others, Carrie is changing the lives of everyone around her.
Off the clock, Carrie dedicates her time to her Jewish community. As president of the Jewish Women International's Chicago Young Women's Leadership Network, Carrie unites and empowers Jewish women to improve our country. Her commitment to enhancing her Jewish community does not stop there. Carrie is an avid host of One Table Shabbats, where she opens her home for individuals seeking a warm and inspirational Shabbat experience.

ON THE SIDE:
Let's be honest, my full-time job is dog mom, the primary gig is just so I have money to spend on spoiling my puppy.
HOW DO YOU GIVE BACK:
In my job at the Cook County Public Guardian, I represent youth who are in the child protection system as their attorney and guardian ad litem. During law school, I volunteered at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, helping survivors of domestic violence get orders of protection, and at the Juvenile Expungement Help Desk. I was also on the board of the Public Interest Law Society as an auction chair, during which I organized an auction to raise money for stipends so that law students could take unpaid internships working with underserved communities. During the fall semesters, I went to the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center on Saturdays to teach a know-your-rights class to residents.

SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT ME:
During my third year of law school, as a graduate student fellow at the Center for the Human Rights of Children, I created a toolkit for service providers and first responders about how to address child trafficking from a public health approach.
