Jordan Goodman

Although Jordan Goodman spends much of his time crafting art and furniture, he's also passionate about crafting the Jewish future. Finding that he was one of few young people at a "Next Generation" event for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, Jordan decide to develop and co-found the museum's Next Generation Associate Board, which engages young adults throughout the country in the museum's work through social, educational and fundraising events.

Jordan is also passionate about education and the arts and makes time to give back in those areas as well; he serves on the boards of the Covenant Foundation and River North Dance Chicago. He does it all while traveling frequently to run his art gallery in Colorado; his furniture and art designs have been featured in the books 500 Cabinets and 500 Judaica.

How do you Jew in Chicago?

Once Upon A Bagel … does that count? Otherwise I sincerely enjoy Am Shalom’s young adult nights in the city, and all YLD events, of course.

Chicago's Jewish community in 10 years:

Vibrant, engaged and educated. No matter where people stand on the political spectrum, the more educated we are, the better activists we will be for Israel and ourselves.
