Rachel Levy has many Jewish friends who are twice, even three times her age. You can often find her on Sundays playing Bingo with the senior residents of CJE SeniorLife's Lieberman Center, leading trivia at CJE's Gidwitz Place, and even teaching iPad classes to seniors trying to navigate their way through the 21st century.
As her extra-curriculars suggest, Rachel is committed to the commandment of
hiddur p'nai zaken
, respect for the elderly. Indeed, she took on the inaugural position as the chair of the associate board for CJE SeniorLife, where she brings awareness to CJE's vital programs.
Outside of her Jewish communal involvement, Rachel has cultivated a career in the hospitality industry, working for various hotels, including a stint at one in China, which she says changed her entire world.

A JEW WHO INSPIRES YOU:
My father, in 1971, was the first president of The ARK. He was part of a group of young Jewish leaders who were advocating to provide more services for the poor. Nobody until that point had broached the subject of Jewish poverty, and there were so many people who needed help. This was the man that I knew my entire life, who was always looking for ways to better his communities and wanted us to see the hard work and determination it takes to make change. It is through his legacy that I want to carry on the traditions of doing meaningful work.
