Rebecca has made it her mission to help people find
and create a strong Jewish community in Chicago.
She founded ChiTribe, an organization that brings groups of
young adults together in "clusters," programs, and more to foster friendships
and lifelong Jewish commitment. ChiTribe connects participants to each other
and to local Jewish organizations. Described as "kind, welcoming, and giving,"
she inspires connections through a weekly email newsletter featuring sign-ups
for events. She scours the website of every local Jewish organization to make
sure she is letting others know how to get and stay involved.
She also
serves as the project lead for Mindfulness and Wellness programs at the Orot
Center for New Jewish Learning, where she builds programs to help young Jews
stay healthy physically and mentally. Additionally, she taught religious
school for two years, tutored b'nai mitzvah students, and hosted countless
Zoom programs to keep people connected during the pandemic.
