Sholom gives back to people at both ends of the age spectrum. He brings his kind personality and dedication to his job at the Chicago Children's Museum, where he helps children find joy through play. When the Museum closed during the pandemic, Sholom--described as both patient and resilient--found a way to assist seniors when he took a job at the Chicago Mitzvah Campaign. He helped seniors get to doctor appointments, bought and delivered groceries to people in need, and packaged Shabbat meals. As the pandemic wanes, he continues to brighten seniors' days by serving lunch with a smile.

Outside of work, he volunteers with Yachad, the National Jewish Council for Disabilities, and is noted for never seeing his cognitive disability as an obstacle to having a productive and happy life. He is also a member of Khal Chassidim and Bnei Ruven and enjoys hosting Shabbat dinners for his family.
